Job Description:
Currently seeking an experienced Earthworks & Road Construction Supervisor with a strong background in road construction, bulk earthworks, and pavement construction to join our team.About the RoleAs an Earthworks & Road Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with TMR and Local Council specifications.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring extensive civil construction experience and a thorough understanding of Queensland road construction standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate earthworks, roadworks, and pavement construction activities.
  • Manage site crews, subcontractors, plant, and resources.
  • Deliver projects in accordance with TMR, Local Council, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate bulk earthworks, subgrade preparation, pavement construction, drainage, and roadworks.
  • Ensure quality assurance requirements, testing frequencies, and hold points are met.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project programs.
  • Monitor production, quality, and project progress.
  • Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, clients, and testing authorities.
  • Maintain daily site records, quality documentation, and progress reports.
  • Identify and resolve construction issues while maintaining program targets.

Essential Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience supervising road construction and earthworks projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects to TMR and Local Council specifications.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Bulk earthworks
    • Pavement construction
    • Subgrade preparation
    • Road widening projects
    • Drainage and stormwater infrastructure
    • Quality assurance and testing requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Current Construction White Card.
  • Current Driver's Licence.

Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Construction.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Traffic Management qualifications.
  • GPS machine control and survey knowledge.
  • Experience working on TMR, Local Government, and Tier 1 contractor projects.
