SummaryWe are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic team in Clay Cross, Chesterfield. In this role, you will be instrumental in programming our advanced CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet our clients' specifications. Your expertise will contribute directly to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the engineering sector. We have a 4 day working week and plenty of overtime at premium rates.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues efficiently.
  • Mentoring and training CNC operatives.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to improve processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of programs and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control protocols.
  • Qualifications
  • Experience as a CNC Programmer of Fanuc systems or similar.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code or ISO.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Ability to operate and set up CNC machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety standards related to machining operations.
  • Preferred: Experience with CAD/CAM software.
