Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to food safety. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils and equipment.
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
