Full-time (Approx. 38 hours per week)
$76,000 – $85,000 per year + Compulsory SuperannuationAre you an experienced and talented pastrycook looking to take your career to the next level? The Bakery Boorowa is seeking a dedicated full-time pastrycook to become a part of our friendly team in Boorowa, NSW. Located just an hour from Canberra, our charming country town offers a relaxed "tree change" lifestyle, while still providing easy access to city amenities during your free time.We will assist with accommodation, help you relocate, and support you through any transitional needs. What You'll Be Doing· Preparing pastry items and fillings as per menu.· Inspecting equipment cleanliness and workplace conditions prior to production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.· Assessing the quality of raw materials and accurately measuring ingredients.· Performing tasks such as kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry products.· Monitoring oven settings and the appearance of products to determine correct baking times.· Coordinating the processes of forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling batches of bread, rolls, and pastries.· Applying glazes to buns and pastries and decorating cakes with cream and icing.· Operating specialised machinery for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.· Cleaning, greasing, and maintaining baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment. What We're Looking For
- ·Relevant trade qualification and at least 2 year's of equivalent experience as a pastrycook
- Excellent bread and pastry-making skills
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
- Exceptional time management ensuring the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for the baking industry and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service*
- Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates who require work authorisation
- Ability to work alternate weekends as part of the full-time roster is essential
