Hair or Beauty Salon Manager

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Hair or Beauty Salon Manager to join our client’s growing team based in West Lakes, South Australia. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual looking to progress their career in salon management within a supportive and professional environment. The position is being advertised is suitable for visa sponsorship (494 visa), subject to eligibility and approval.  The Salon Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team of professionals, maintaining high customer service standards, and supporting the salon’s business growth. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a similar role and be confident leading a team and ensuring smooth operations across all areas of the salon. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Daily Salon Operations
  Ensure the smooth running of the salon, including appointment scheduling, staff coordination, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the salon.
• Manage Staff and Provide Leadership
  Allocate tasks, supervise performance, and provide guidance and on-the-job training to staff. Support the salon owner with recruitment and performance management processes.
• Deliver Excellent Customer Service
  Greet clients, confirm bookings, respond to enquiries and feedback professionally, and ensure a consistently high-quality salon experience.
• Promote Sales and Retail Products
  Recommend suitable hair and beauty products and services to clients, manage retail displays, and implement strategies to drive sales and increase customer retention.
• Maintain Workplace Health, Safety & Hygiene Standards
  Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, maintain hygiene protocols for all salon equipment and work areas, and keep appropriate records of safety and compliance checks.
• Perform Services and Support Business Goals
  Deliver hair or beauty services as needed and assist the salon owner in achieving business objectives through operational support and participation in promotional activities.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year full-time work experience in a hair or beauty salon environment
• Diploma of Salon Management or an equivalent formal qualification
• Proven experience in staff supervision, customer service, and day-to-day salon operations
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage retail sales, product promotions, and client relationships
• Sound knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards relevant to the industry.

This role is full-time, with an annual salary of $70,000 to $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
