Position Summary
The Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Liaison & HR Coordinator supports the organization’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program by acting as the primary administrative and employee support contact for foreign national employees. This role ensures compliance with federal and provincial program requirements while providing hands-on support to employees throughout their employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, quality-of-life coordination, and permanent residency pathways.
This position requires strong organizational capability, empathy, cultural awareness, and the ability to manage sensitive conversations with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs), providing guidance, support, and coordination throughout their employment lifecycle.
  • Provide administrative support for LMIA processes (where applicable), work permit applications, renewals, and compliance documentation tracking.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on supporting Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) and other pathways to permanent residency, including document coordination, employee communication, milestone tracking, and liaison with immigration counsel and external agencies.
  • Support employees through permanent residency processes by ensuring timelines are tracked and required documentation is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and workplace integration support.
  • Assist with quality-of-life matters such as housing coordination, transportation logistics, and general settlement support.
  • Communicate with employees in their native language where possible. Written and spoken fluency in Tagalog is considered an asset and may be used to support employee understanding, comfort, and clarity.
  • Conduct and support sensitive conversations related to employment terms, immigration status, performance expectations, workplace concerns, and compliance matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Educate managers and supervisors on TFW compliance requirements and employee considerations.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready records related to work permits, nomination programs, housing documentation, and employment agreements.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and support implementation of program changes.
  • Travel between company sites and external meetings as required (up to 25% of the year), including occasional overnight travel.
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements / Qualifications
Education
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.


Experience
  • 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources, immigration coordination, recruitment, employee relations, or program administration.
  • Experience supporting Temporary Foreign Worker programs, Provincial Nominee Programs, LMIA processes, or immigration documentation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing confidential employee information and navigating sensitive discussions.


Language Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Written and spoken fluency in Tagalog is an asset.


Technical & Administrative Skills
  • Strong documentation management and compliance tracking skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and document tracking tools is an asset.

Travel & Mobility Requirements
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid passport required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, including occasional overnight travel.


Salary
  • $60-70K/year


This role will be a hybrid working model. It will involve being on-site at our corporate office in Shelburne Tuesdays and Thursdays.
