Franchise Development Manager

Role Title: Franchise Development Manager and Business Accountant --- Job Description 1. Core Responsibilities: Manage and oversee financial operations for the franchise, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability across franchise outlets. Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities for new franchise locations. Provide guidance on franchise compliance with local laws, including food safety and employment regulations. Collaborate with the management team to establish performance metrics and improve operational efficiency. Support franchisees with business planning, financial modeling, and operational troubleshooting. Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure accuracy in financial documentation. 2. Additional Tasks: Analyze customer data and sales trends to inform marketing strategies. Develop training materials for franchisees on financial literacy and business growth. Ensure adherence to franchise agreements and resolve disputes as needed. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across outlets to maintain brand standards. --- Key Skills and Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting and business development within a franchise environment or national brand. Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations and support franchise growth strategies. Strong knowledge of New Zealand accounting standards and regulations. Advanced skills in financial software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
