AA Auto Centre has been operating for over 25 years and has a reputation as the Auckland region's top vehicle maintenance network. We are now looking for Qualified Automotive Mechanics and or WOF Technicians to join our busy workshops in the Auckland area. Where possible, we may be able to offer other Auckland locations dependent on the situation and area the successful applicant resides. This includes our stores based in Auckland City, St Lukes, New Lynn, Kingsland, Newmarket, Mt. Wellington, Henderson, Manukau and Glenfield as well as further out. We are accepting interest from Qualified Mechanics and WOF technicians for which we provide wide-ranging work available. You will need to be reliable, have an outgoing personality, be keen to learn new things, be able to see a job through to completion and work well in a tight-knit team. You'll be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on weekdays between 8:00am-4.30pm, additionally Saturday work hours are 8:00am-2:00pm and paid at time and a half. Saturdays are rostered 1 on 1 off. Main responsibilities are; • Able to carry out automotive servicing, general maintenance and automotive repair work on all types of passenger and light commercial vehicles. • Able to perform diagnosis of vehicle faults using suitable and appropriate equipment to determine the nature and required repair work to remedy the faults. • Able to communicate clearly with customers to simply inform of issues with vehicle, what parts and or work is required, advise of pricing and timeframe and any other matters. • Able to carry out and perform set work within industry, generally accepted and agreed timeframes. • Maintain a high quality level of work standard with minimal faults. The successful candidate will need to possess the following attributes: • Current Full Driver’s License • Be fluent with written and oral English • Be a reliable, hard-worker with a positive attitude • Enjoy dealing with people • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team • Be organized and work in a timely manner We have two positions available in the Auckland area. The remuneration for this role is depending on skill levels, qualifications and experience. Applicants for this position swill need to have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
