International Education Consultant Position!As our team grows, we are looking for a full-time
International Education Consultant to join our team in Boston.
Responsibilities Education Related Work:- Apply educational theories to motivate and help students improve their performance in or outside of the classroom
- Provide professional guidance on college application, admission requirements, school selection, college life, and career trajectories of different majors
- Guide students through the application process with detailed instructions and intimate knowledge of schools, degree programs, and admission practices
- Help students brainstorm and formulate personalized stories that highlight their experience and qualities
- Review and revise students’ college application materials and essays
- Advise and mentor students at different age on topics include, but are not limited to course selection, leadership development, extracurricular choices, and executive functioning skills
- Gather and share relevant information with parents and students about the US education system
- Conduct meetings and workshops in person or online as needed
- Other tasks as needed
Project Management Related Tasks:- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students and family members using various forms of communication tools (i.e., phone, email, Skype)
- Research school admissions requirements
- Report student progress and submit relevant documents in a timely manner
- Support management team in completing relevant projects
Qualifications- Team-oriented, detail-oriented, motivated, friendly, professional, and responsible
- Passionate about helping students grow and learn
- Candidates with strong English writing skills preferred
- Applicants with a master's degree or Ph.D. in Education, language studies, cultural studies, business management, sociology, history, philosophy, economics, science or related fields is required
- Familiar with college admission process is a must
- Applicants with Chinese cultural or other Asian American and Pacific Islander cultural knowledge is preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience in related fields or higher education is required
CompensationPay is competitive and is commensurate with experience
