THE ROLE We are looking for a passionate
Sous Chef to join our kitchen team within Doot Doot Doot. Set within a progressive, contemporary hotel, this role would suit someone with a genuine passion to create food that is delicious and exciting.
- You will be responsible for managing your own section and contributing to the smooth running of our kitchen
- Always observing best practice in food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Assist the Head Chef with menu design, recipe cards and ongoing product knowledge
- Liaise with FOH team on a daily basis
- Lead, coach and mentor junior staff
- Uphold kitchen team morale and ensure workplace is harmonious
- Provide feedback to Head Chef on any issues that may arise
- Able to adapt and succeed in high-pressure service periods

ABOUT YOU - Have previous experience preferably within a hatted / Michelin star restaurant or 5-star hotel

REQUIREMENTS - Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar qualification a must
- Proven experience in a busy restaurant for at least 3+ years
- Drivers License and access to a car essential
