Job Description:
Emergency Medicine Consultant | Coastal Regional Referral Centre | ACEM Accredited
The Opportunity
We are currently engaging with FACEMs and substantially comparable Emergency Medicine specialists interested in joining a major regional referral hospital in coastal Queensland.
The Emergency Department manages approximately 40,000–45,000 presentations annually, delivering broad adult and paediatric emergency care to a rapidly expanding regional catchment. The department operates within a consultant-led structure supported by strong inpatient specialty services.
This position will appeal to Emergency Medicine specialists seeking regional scale, clinical variety and the lifestyle advantages of coastal Queensland.
The Hospital
This substantial regional hospital functions as the principal acute referral centre for its region and provides comprehensive emergency, medical and surgical services.
The Emergency Department:
The hospital has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years, strengthening emergency and peri-operative capacity to meet regional demand.

- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
- FACEM or eligible
- ACEM trainee approaching Fellowship
- International Medical Graduates assessed by ACEM as partially or substantially comparable
