As GM of Engineering for Gaming, you will lead a transformational journey, shaping and scaling a product engineering department that aligns with their business and product vision. Your mission is to bring to life white-labelled, multi-tenant capabilities that power the Gaming pillar, supporting rapid expansion and elevating customer interactions across multiple brands and products.
Role DescriptionYou will guide engineering teams in designing, implementing, and evolving complex, scalable capabilities shared across the platform and organisation. By driving synergy, scalability, and reusability of services, you will help create central features underpinning commercial success. A strong focus on a data-driven approach will ensure visibility and reconciliation of high-quality commercial data for business and engineering users. You will drive best practices, performance management, and outcome-driven development, pushing teams toward ownership and accountability for major areas of the platform.   • Lead the development and scaling of a multi-tenant platform, enabling a world-class customer experience for hundreds of millions of customer interactions annually across 106 countries.
  • Drive transformative change by embedding best practices, modernising engineering capabilities, and introducing innovative approaches like Domain-Driven Design to elevate the platform.
  • Play a pivotal role in positioning the company ahead of competitors through strategic improvements in UX, global content management, and multi-tenant web-tier platforms for Gaming, Sports, and Gaming, Sports, and regulated digital entertainment sectors.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of affiliate marketing with the stability and resources of an already successful company, driving impactful growth and innovation.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of engineering management experience leading product engineering teams that deliver large-scale, customer-facing platforms, with a proven track record of hands-on technical leadership.
  • 6+ years of hands-on development experience building high-traffic platforms using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, Kotlin, Python, applying best design principles like SOLID and design patterns.
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design and modular, API-first architectures, with a strong understanding of scaling, monitoring, and designing concurrent systems, including RESTful APIs and asynchronous solutions.
  • A strong product mindset with the ability to shape roadmaps, lead iterative technical implementations, and maintain high standards for readability, testability, and continuous refactoring.
  • Proven experience working with cloud computing platforms, particularly Amazon AWS, and a focus on improving performance, scalability, and efficiency using data-driven approaches.
  • A continuous learner, staying current with the latest technology trends and evaluating new technologies with pragmatism and long-term vision.


Location and terms: this is an on-site role based in London, preferred location, permanent and open to discussion about salary.
