The Cancer Care Service Line at Corewell Health West (formerly known as Spectrum Health), a non-profit organization, is seeking Hematologists to join our growing team of employed providers. Corewell Health’s Cancer Center is a collaboration of Corewell Health’s network of hospitals, Corewell Health West Michigan and community providers. Our patients and their families benefit by innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. We specialize in treating the most complex types of cancers and each treatment plan is as unique as the patient who receives it. Based out of Grand Rapids, with the opportunity to expand your practice across Corewell Health West Michigan, we invite you to explore the most comprehensive and robust cancer program in West Michigan. This includes more than 150 highly qualified, board-certified physicians representing more than 17 oncology specialties. Enjoy working with robust multispecialty teams and tumor boards with integrated staff! Corewell Health also has a comprehensive radiology program with port placement. Corewell Health’s Cancer Program offers: FACT Accredited BMT program inclusive of CAR T-Cell Therapy, Multispecialty Teams, Screening & Prevention, Diagnostic & Treatment Services & Clinical Trials, 11 Comprehensive Programs, Specialized Radiation Oncologists, Breast Diagnostic Center, Nurse Navigation, Cancer Rehab, Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine. Corewell Health is currently working toward NCI designation. Corewell Health is scheduled to launch a Hematology Oncology fellowship training program in 2025/2026. Physician candidates must be board eligible/board certified in Hematology. Experience with clinical trials is a plus. Academic appointment at Michigan State University available commensurate with experience. Qualifications include Required Doctorate, LIC-Physician (MD) or LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO)

The position is based at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, a nationally recognized hospital and regional leader in full-service hospitals. The hospital offers a wide range of advanced medical, surgical and specialty care services and serves as a major tertiary and quaternary referral center for West Michigan and beyond. Grand Rapids is the second-largest city in Michigan, known for its vibrant downtown, cultural venues, and quality of life. Corewell Health is a not-for-profit health system with over 65,000 dedicated people, including more than 12,000 physicians and advanced practice providers, providing care in 21 hospitals and 300+ outpatient locations. The role is full-time, day shift, with 40 weekly scheduled hours, and includes on-call weekends.
