Our clients cover a very broad range of sectors including chemical, industrial, retail, pharmaceutical, agriculture, food and beverage processing, healthcare, software and technology companies operating all over the world. What we do: It is a very exciting time in the area of Global Trade and Customs. Globally Governments are moving towards indirect taxation as a source of revenue, trade disputes and trade wars continue to upset supply chains all while our clients are changing the way they deliver their products and services to their customers. What does this role offer? On-going trade wars, the introduction of new free trade agreements, export licensing and sanctions are just some of the issues that impact upon global trade and are affecting the ability of our clients to move their products and services across international borders in a timely and cost efficient manner. If our clients are moving goods or providing software across an international border then our team is who they work with. We focus on ensuring that the product continues to be commercially competitive despite the ever evolving global trade environment and increases to the customs duty rate of certain products. In addition, you will work closely in supporting clients to ensure no legal or even criminal issues arise for their organisations through the export of ‘ dual-use ’ items. This is particularly relevant in the Irish economy for those ‘tech’ companies who export highly encrypted software.
Purpose-led work you’ll be part of As a Senior Mana ger , you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for:
  • Lead and manage a challenging and varied client portfolio;

  • Develop your own career in a dynamic and growing group;

  • Develop and maintain business relationships and market profile with a view to winning new business;

  • Develop and maintain new products and service offerings;

  • Lead both internal and external projects;

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including tax, advisory and accounting specialists;

  • Motivating your team to perform at their best, make a difference and deliver results, while providing mentorship and guidance allowing them to stretch to their full potential;

  • Work on attracting, developing and retaining the best talents for the firm;

Experiences and skills:
  • You have over 8 years in a Global Trade and Customs role with at least 5 years at manager level.

  • Strong academic record with a Degree in accounting, economics, finance, or law.

  • You must have strong leadership skills and have a proven record in building a team with the capacity and capability to deliver.

  • Excellent delegation skills and proven ability to manage and develop junior members of the team is required ;

  • You will have excellent business development and relationship management skills, whilst still maintaining the ability to take direction from Tax Partners and clients;

  • Business Acumen - use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making innovative business decisions.

  • Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.

  • Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Enthusiastic team player and manager with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.

  • Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development.
