Job Description:
Bay City Boating are launching a premium marine service operation in the heart of the Hervey Bay (Urangan) Boat Harbour precinct .We are looking for skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanics to join us at the ground level. This is a rare and unique opportunity to work on high-end vessels and super yachts, including Maritimo, Riviera, Princess & Horizon yachts. The operation also encompasses two leading outboard brands and boat sales, offering a wide scope of work and opportunity in this newly developed venture. It’s essential you take pride in your craft and want to be part of a business that stands for quality, respect and professionalism.About the RoleYou’ll be responsible for:Servicing and repairing diesel inboard marine engines — especially Volvo Penta, CAT and Cummins
  • Assisting with engine repowers, diagnostics, and system upgrades
  • Maintaining workshop standards in line with a premium brand offering
  • Providing trusted, professional service to high-value clients
  • Supporting the setup and evolution of a new, purpose-driven service centre

What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified diesel mechanic with experience in marine engines (Volvo Penta experience is preferred but not essential)
  • Confident with diagnostics, fault-finding, and mechanical repair
  • Can work independently and as part of a small, focused team
  • Professional approach to workshop cleanliness, safety and client service
  • Shows initiative and a willingness to grow with the business

  • Takes pride in their work and understands the importance of quality workmanship 
  • Communicates well with colleagues, clients and suppliers
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability
  • Willingness to be part of a small, growing team and contribute beyond the tools

  • You're well presented and professional in appearance to match our clients expectations of a premium brand and experience
  • Have a current driver’s and forklift licence
