We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consulting Physical Therapist / RPT to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert physical therapy services to patients, consulting with healthcare teams, and contributing to the development and implementation of innovative physical therapy programs. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for promoting health and wellness, and a track record of clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to understand their physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide expert physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education on physical health and wellness.
- Consult with healthcare teams to provide insights and recommendations on physical therapy treatments and programs.
- Develop and implement innovative physical therapy programs to improve patient outcomes and enhance service delivery.
- Continually monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in physical therapy and incorporate new knowledge into clinical practice.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior physical therapists and other healthcare staff as required.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of physical therapy services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
- Current and valid licensure as a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing physical therapist, with a focus on consulting roles within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of physical therapy techniques and approaches.
- Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of physical therapy program development and implementation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare teams.
- Proven ability to assess patient needs, develop effective treatment plans, and deliver high-quality physical therapy services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of best practices in physical therapy.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
