Company: Topfield Farms Pty LtdLocation: Greater Coonawarra Region, South AustraliaEmployment Type: Permanent full-timeSalary: $80,000 to $100,000 p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation (negotiable based on experience)Hours: Minimum 38 hours per week Topfield Farms Pty Ltd, located in the premium farming region of Coonawarra SA, is currently seeking a qualified Spray Rig Operator (Agricultural Technician) to join our diverse and expanding farm operation. We grow both broadacre crops and horticultural produce and are investing in modern spraying technology including Hardy Navigator and self-propelled spray rigs. Key Responsibilities:·       Operate and maintain agricultural spray equipment.·       Mix and apply crop protection products following safety guidelines and legal requirements.·       Calibrate nozzles, adjust pressure and spray patterns for specific crops and weather conditions.·       Conduct daily equipment checks and carry out minor servicing and maintenance tasks.·       Maintain accurate spray diaries, chemical usage logs, and equipment servicing records.·       Work with the farm manager to schedule chemical applications.·       Follow all WHS policies and environmental regulations for chemical use and disposal. Required Skills and Experience:·       ChemCert Accreditation (or willingness to obtain upon commencement).·       Experience operating agricultural boomsprays or self-propelled sprayers.·       Familiarity with both broadacre and horticultural cropping systems.·       Ability to carry out minor mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.·       HR or HC truck licence (or willingness to obtain).·       Sound record-keeping, attention to detail, and awareness of farm safety standards. Desirable Attributes:·       Prior use of Hardy Navigator sprayer or similar equipment.·       Experience using GPS-guided spray systems or other precision farming tools.·       Physically fit, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently.·       Knowledge of South Australian agricultural chemical regulations and APVMA label compliance. About You:You are a practical, detail-focused person with a strong work ethic and a passion for precision in agricultural operations.
