Job Description:
As an OT, you'll use your skills and provide compassionate care to patients in the Wellington community, during their palliative journey

As an Occupational Therapist, you'll be an essential part of our dedicated multidisciplinary team, offering vital support to patients both in our Inpatient Unit and in their homes in Wellington community. This role is perfect for someone looking to develop skills in palliative care, supported by experienced colleagues in a tight-knit, values-driven setting. Your work will help patients engage in meaningful activities, ensuring they maintain dignity, ability, and a sense of control.

What you need to do:
  • Deliver Specialist Care: Provide skilled and empathetic occupational therapy to patients in both the inpatient unit and in their homes.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, high-quality care.
  • Passion for Hospice Setting: Foster a sense of ability, dignity, and control by helping patients engage in meaningful activities.
  • Eager to learn: Participate in a professional development program to enhance your skills in palliative care.

What you need to have:
  • NZ Occupational Therapy Registration: Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand.
  • Residency or Valid Work Visa: Applicants must hold NZ residency or a valid work visa.
  • Hold a Full NZ Driver's License: A valid NZ driver's license is required for this role.
