Job Description:
Position Summary Reporting directly to the Company director, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the business, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation, and delivering accurate financial reports to support decision-making. Key Responsibilities 1. Prepare and examine financial records, budgets, and cash flow reports 2. Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations 3. Lodge BAS, PAYG, superannuation, and other tax obligations 4. Prepare end-of-year financial statements and assist with audits 5. Provide strategic analysis and advice to support business operations 6. Maintain financial controls and improve accounting systems where necessary 7. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies 8. Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and other relevant authorities Required Qualifications and Skills 1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (required) 2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role 3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks) 4. Excellent knowledge of Australian financial regulations and standards 5. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills 6. CPA/CA certification or working towards it (highly regarded) 7.
