Job Description:
Job Title: Business Sales Executive Location: Hybrid Salary:  £35,000 per annum Working Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week.
Frugal Sourcing is a commercial transformation partner for high-potential product manufacturing companies, primarily from India, seeking to scale their presence in Western markets, particularly the UK and EU. We provide an in-market team to generate demand, activate commercial traction, expand market presence, and convert buyers into long-term clients, operating at the intersection of sourcing, market-entry, and revenue operations, with measurable commercial accountability. We leverage our expertise to unlock significant opportunities across various product sectors in Europe.
Role Overview: We are urgently seeking a highly motivated and technically astute Business Development Executive to actively drive new client acquisition and revenue growth for product manufacturing clients in the UK and EU. This role involves proactive sales engagement, direct client interaction, and leveraging a blend of engineering, business, and marketing expertise to secure new commercial relationships from initial market analysis to successful deal closure.
Key Responsibilities: Marketing, Sales & Lead Generation:
  • Leveraging digital marketing strategies, including social media, to support lead generation and enhance the visibility of offerings to facilitate sales.
  • Proactively identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities and potential clients within the UK and EU markets, focusing on sectors such as automotive, composites, and engineered products.
  • Initiate outbound sales activities, including strategic outreach via LinkedIn, email, and voice calls, to generate high-quality leads and arrange initial meetings.
  • Contribute to building a validated sales pipeline by targeting and mapping 300-500 verified UK/EU buyers from key sectors.

Client Engagement & Product Presentation:
  • Conduct meetings with qualified buyers, presenting tailored value propositions and in-depth product presentations at client locations, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Understand and articulate client product specifications, technical requirements, and procurement processes to effectively position Frugal Sourcing's solutions and clients' offerings.
  • Support new market entry by facilitating rapid connection with qualified buyers in place.

Negotiation & Deal Closure:
  • Actively participate in commercial negotiations, assisting in finalising pricing, securing samples, and agreeing to contract terms and conditions.
  • Support clients through the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process and provide necessary technical clarifications.
  • Contribute to converting prospects into long-term clients, securing new contracts and framework agreements.

Commercial Tracking & Strategy:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress within the ZOHO CRM system.
  • Generate regular CRM insight reports (e.g., weekly) and assist in strategy adjustments based on commercial data and market feedback.
  • Monitor and report on sales targets and performance metrics.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Liaise internally with Frugal's sourcing, engineering, marketing, and staffing teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client solutions and project delivery.


Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Essential:
  • Degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
  • UK Full Driving license and Own Car.
  • Proven Experience in using ZOHO CRM and ZOHO One environment.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of demonstrable professional experience in a business development, sales, or client-facing commercial role within a B2B environment
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience gained within the UK engineering and business sector, particularly involving market entry or engagement with automotive industry clients. This is essential for navigating the UK market landscape.
  • Proven experience working directly with UK and EU clients previously, demonstrating an understanding of Western market expectations, business etiquette, and effective communication in a B2B context.
  • Proven experience working in India within the automotive manufacturing industry or specifically with Indian manufacturers or suppliers
  • Strong understanding of the intersection of business, marketing, and engineering concepts, with an ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a commercial context relevant to product manufacturing and sourcing.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively support and assist in negotiation processes, including discussions around pricing, samples, and terms and conditions.
  • Holds relevant certifications or possesses proven experience with

§ Digital Marketing strategies and platforms § Lean methodologies § APQP § Supply chain and Sourcing § Project management tools § LinkedIn Sales Navigator § Operations-related processes relevant to manufacturing.
  • A natural "go-getter" and initiator, demonstrating a highly focused and results-driven approach. Must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of business finance principles, including understanding pricing models, commission structures, and sales targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical and commercial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional travel within the UK and EU for client visits, product presentations, and trade shows, as required by business needs.

Desirable:
  • A diploma in Business/Sales Management.
  • Aptitude for future team leadership or experience mentoring junior professionals.
  • Familiarity with broader CRM systems beyond just LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Prior experience in other relevant manufacturing sectors such as composites or specialty engineered products.
