We need people who can bring us fresh ideas and imagination on one hand, and the commercial ability to manage people, budgets and costs on the other.Reporting to the Site Manager working among a wide range of Trades and Sub Contractors, you'll make sure that materials are stored, protected and the site is safe and in good order. - Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the number of tiles needed
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to secure tiles in place
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create decorative patterns
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
- Install tile trim and edge pieces to finish the installation
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in tile settingExperience:
- Proven experience as a tile setter or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, and grouts
- Familiarity with tile cutting tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tile placement
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity- Operative to be hard working, Reliable and Trustworthy.- CSCS Card Holder.- Hold a full UK Driving Licence- Clean and tidy work adhering to all safety requirements and regulations.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
