Role Overview The Account Manager is a passionate communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and is ready to take the next step in their career. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, creating compelling stories and delivering integrated campaigns that earn attention.Working closely with Consultants, Senior Consultants and Client Partners, you'll play an integral role in managing the day-to-day delivery of multiple client accounts. From media relations and content creation to social campaigns, influencer engagement and reporting, you'll help bring campaigns to life while developing your strategic thinking and commercial capability.You'll become a trusted member of your client teams, proactively contributing ideas, identifying opportunities and ensuring every project is delivered on time, on brief and to the highest standard.If you're curious, collaborative and passionate about culture, communications and creativity, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do Client Service & Campaign Delivery
- Support the day-to-day management of a portfolio of client accounts, building strong relationships and delivering outstanding client service.
- Coordinate campaign activity across earned media, social, influencer and digital channels, ensuring projects remain on track and aligned to client objectives.
- Prepare client reports, meeting agendas and work-in-progress documentation while proactively communicating campaign updates and next steps.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen campaign performance through proactive thinking, cultural insights and creative ideas.
Media Relations, Content & Storytelling
- Develop engaging media materials including press releases, feature stories, media pitches and briefing documents.
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers and content creators across a range of industries.
- Maintain accurate media and influencer databases while identifying new opportunities for earned coverage and meaningful storytelling.
- Support the planning and execution of events, activations and campaign launches, ensuring smooth delivery and attention to detail.
- Manage day-to-day social content and influencer activity, working with internal teams to deliver integrated communications campaigns.
Commercial & Operational Excellence
- Support effective budget management by following agreed client budgets, sourcing supplier quotes and maintaining expense trackers.
- Complete timesheets, project administration and month-end requirements accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills by managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Embrace new technologies and Thrive systems to support efficient campaign delivery and continuous improvement.
Business Development & Growth
- Contribute to new business proposals, credentials and pitch responses by conducting research, sharing ideas and supporting presentation development.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging cultural conversations and competitor activity to help identify opportunities for clients and the agency.
- Represent Thrive professionally at industry events and networking opportunities, helping build both personal and agency profile.

What You'll Bring- 3+ years' experience within a PR or integrated communications agency.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting and delivering integrated communications campaigns across earned media, social and influencer channels.
- Strong writing skills with experience developing media releases, pitches, reports and client communications.
- Growing media relationships and an understanding of Australia's communications landscape.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, project delivery and campaign reporting.
- A proactive attitude, collaborative mindset and genuine passion for communications and storytelling.
