** Join the Climate-Tech Revolution at Concrete4Change (C4C)**
Position: Senior Process Engineer (Job title flexible)
Location: Nottingham, UK
Salary: £60,000–£80,000
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate
Visa Sponsorship: Available
About Us Concrete4Change (C4C) is a pioneering R&D company developing breakthrough technology to
permanently mineralise CO₂ in concrete. Our additive production process was recently scaled up 10×, and we are now focused on creating a fully licensable commercial flowsheet—demonstrated with “steel on the ground.” We are finalising the construction of a
mini full-flowsheet pilot plant at our Nottingham facility. This plant will operate over the next six months before integrating with real flue gas. The operational data and lab results will feed into our
process design documentation and models, supporting the design of a
100× commercial demonstrator. C4C has won multiple prestigious awards, including the
UN Climate Challenge Cup at COP26, and is partly owned by
Siam Cement Group and
Goldbeck GmbH. We collaborate with the
University of Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Warwick, and leading manufacturers such as
Holcim, CRH, Marshalls, and
Ibstock.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and integration of chemical recovery steps
Pilot & Commercial Plant Operations - Support commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting of the mini-plant
- Ensure learnings from the pilot feed into the commercial plant design
- Manage experimental runs and ensure high-quality data generation
- Oversee maintenance, upgrades, and modifications of pilot systems
Project Management & Leadership - Forecast engineering workload and resource needs
- Lead or support cross-functional teams including subcontractors and EPCs
- Ensure safety, quality, and documentation standards are met
- Project manage engineering tasks, time, and budgets
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration - Work with chemists, mechanical engineers, process control engineers, and plant operators
