UI/UX Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, user-centred digital experiences across various platforms. This role involves collaborating with product development teams to design intuitive interfaces, optimise usability, and ensure seamless interaction between users and our digital products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of front-end development, data visualisation, and user research methodologies, contributing to the realisation of compelling and functional designs that meet business requirements. Duties

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design concepts.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Implement responsive web design principles ensuring optimal performance across devices using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SCSS, Less (style sheet language), and APIs.
• Create data visualisations and interactive elements to enhance user engagement using JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Maintain information architecture and design patterns that promote consistency across digital products.
• Analyse user behaviour through tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Target to inform iterative improvements.
• Support front-end development efforts by providing detailed specifications for implementation teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in UX/UI design, digital design standards, and accessibility guidelines to continuously improve our offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in web design, interaction design, and digital visualisation.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, InVision, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Balsamiq, Axure, Zeplin, and Visio.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS (SCSS/Less), JavaScript (React, Angular), Bootstrap, Redux, WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, and APIs.
• Experience with data analysis tools like Google Analytics or Omniture to inform design decisions.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes and requirements gathering methodologies.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret user research data and business requirements effectively.
• Knowledge of usability principles and information architecture best practices.
• Ability to create wireframes and prototypes that effectively communicate concepts to technical teams.
• Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT) processes to ensure final products meet quality standards.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
