Wondai RSL is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and assist in delivering high-quality food and service to customers.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning menus in consultation with management and kitchen staff
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard
- Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Estimating food and labour costs and assisting with stock ordering
- Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with regulations
- Supervising kitchen operations and assisting with staff training
- Managing food preparation and ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Checking the quality of raw ingredients and finished dishes
- Minimising food wastage and maintaining stock rotation procedures
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field is compulsory
- Minimum 1 year of full-time relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
