Permanent Food Production worker to support our food production team.
**Working Hours: 06:30AM till 03:00PM (Monday - Friday) 8hrs x 3 Positions Expected Date of Joining: ASAPIn this hands-on role, you’ll support raw production by helping coordinate product flow to stuffing lines and assisting with formulation (Cutter/Cozzini) operations. You’ll follow formulation sheets and food safety procedures, prepare supplies and materials, complete production paperwork, and help ensure product accuracy, quality, and traceability (tags/lot codes) throughout the shift.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate product flow to the appropriate stuffing lines; verify batches and product tags for accuracy.
- Obtain the daily production/stuffing lineup from the Supervisor and organize work accordingly.
- Gather and prepare supplies/materials for production, using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.
- Operate and assist with setup, operation, and teardown of Cozzini/cutter equipment (training provided).
- Follow formulation sheets and procedures; weigh/scale ingredients and materials accurately to meet specifications.
- Inspect vmags, product bags, and materials for contamination or quality concerns prior to use; report issues immediately.
- Maintain clear labeling and traceability: complete/attach product tags (line #, cage #, shift) and confirm lot code changes.
- Complete required production documentation, including time studies and HACCP/food safety paperwork between batches.
- Support shift-change product tagging to prevent mix-ups and ensure continuity.
- Ensure vmags are fully emptied into stuffers, then return empties to the wash bay.
- Retrieve and handle casings safely; remove all silica gel packets before casings enter the production area.
- Move completed product loads to the correct area (stuffing, staging, or cooler) and store formulated product/rework in the cooler at shift end.
- Clean and sanitize as required (e.g., hand-wash control panels and cover appropriately at end of production); assist with cooler clean-up and product transfer during scheduled deep cleans.
Requirements:- 1–2 years of experience in food production, food processing, manufacturing, or raw product handling is an asset.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work with formulation sheets and standardized procedures.
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail for weighing/scaling, labeling, and paperwork accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Team-focused with clear communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude/comfort around production equipment (Cozzini/cutter machinery).
- Good math skills.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:- Exposure to cold environments (production and cooler areas); PPE and hygiene standards must be followed.
- Physically demanding work including standing for extended periods, lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs heavy vmags/cages, and performing clean-up tasks.
