North Suffolk is seeking Recovery Support Specialists for our Substance Use Disorder Residential Program – the Hanton House located in Chelsea. These programs provide behavior modification treatment for individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. We provide medication assisted treatment for those individuals who meet the criteria and residents are treated for mental health disorders. This is a 24 hour a day program with 24 hour per day staffing.
Part-time position: Second shift 4p-11p - weekdays and weekends. What you’ll do:
Supervise and/or participate with individuals, based on their needs in self-help skills, activities of daily living, socialization, leisure time and community integration.
Assist individuals in scheduling routine and preventative medical appointments, obtain and disseminate all reports to appropriate team members.
Carry an individual counseling and group counseling caseload.
Participate in upkeep and maintenance of program.
Transport individuals in agency vehicle as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
Education:
High school degree or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree and/or CADAC preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year full-time substance abuse counseling experience.
If in recovery, must have a minimum of two years current continuous sobriety.
Skills:
First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to become certified within 5 months of hire required (training provided)
Valid MA driver's license is needed.
