• Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking in the kitchen.
• Develop and design innovative menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared according to recipes and standards of presentation.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and teamwork.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on culinary techniques and best practices.
• Monitor portion sizes and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all dishes.

Skills

• Proven experience in a restaurant or similar culinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
• Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create a variety of dishes.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
