Assistant Director - Early Learning Centre - GeelongOur client in Geelong is urgently looking for Assistant Director / Educational Leader in Geelong region. This 110-place centre will provide long day care and Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten, eventually transitioning to include Pre-Prep.

Salary Band : $80,000 to $115,000 + Super (Depending on Qualification & Experience)
Role PurposeThe Assistant Centre Director will work alongside the Centre Director to oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational policies and procedures. This role will also support staff recruitment and development, and enrolment management, with assistance from the Early Learning Victoria central team.
Role Requirements: - Provide a safe, high-quality early learning environment aligned with VEYLDF, NQF, National Quality Standards and Early Learning Victoria philosophy
- Ensure full compliance with Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, Child Safe Standards, Child Protection and all relevant policies
- Support the Centre Director with daily centre operations including staffing, enrolments, budgeting, communications and stakeholder engagement
- Contribute to the delivery of inclusive, engaging educational programs that support children’s overall development
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, staff and community partners
- Assist with recruitment, induction, rostering, performance management, mentoring and professional development of staff
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture that values wellbeing, diversity and continuous improvement
- Maintain strong administrative and financial oversight relevant to early childhood settings
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience in early childhood education and care
- Strong knowledge of NQF, VEYLDF, National Law and Regulations, Child Safe Standards and Quality Improvement processes
Specific skills/qualifications required- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supporting vulnerable children and families
- Ideally 5 plus experience in Management or leadership role
- Competency in early childhood administrative and compliance systems
- Current Employee Working with Children Check or full VIT registration
- Willingness to undertake National and International Police Checks if required
