About the opportunity The Discipline of Accounting, Governance and Regulation are inviting applications for Associate Lecturer in Accounting (Education Focused). Education-focused roles are a specialised category of academic engagement reserved for talented educators with a passion for, and demonstrated excellence in, pedagogical practice and design. In this role you will be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within the program and will be on a trajectory towards leadership in educational design and delivery. The majority of your contribution will be within education (70%), with a proportion of workload (20%) available for research. Your key responsibilities will include:
- teaching in the discipline of accounting, governance and regulation, including curriculum development, and the promotion of innovative teaching practices
- contributing to the research strengths of the discipline, including collaborating on research grants and publishing in high quality academic journals
- fostering interdisciplinary collaborations within the University and with external stakeholders
- participation in academic administration and service activities.
About you - a complete (or near complete) PhD in accounting or related field
- demonstrated experience in, or strong potential to deliver high quality teaching and course development in one or more of the discipline’s core domains
- an active research program with significant potential for future publications
- the ability to work successfully in a team and a commitment to a collegial approach
- a commitment to engage with industry, community, and professional bodies.
