We provide professional services of school placement, tutoring as well as guardianship, and each year JD Consultancy assists many students joining the very top independent schools based in the UK. With the fast expansion of the business, JD Consultancy is currently recruiting a new Academic Supervisor who will focus on the below area: Job Duties: Academic Supervision

• Monitor lesson delivery to ensure academic quality, consistency, and alignment with UK independent school standards.
• Observe lessons on a regular basis to monitor teaching quality and academic delivery.
• Evaluate student performance and identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and exam technique.
• Develop tailored academic plans based on each student’s level, goals, and target schools.
• Provide structured academic feedback to parents, highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and progress over time.
• Support students’ preparation for UK independent school admissions, including academic expectations and assessments.
• Assist the senior tutor in developing JD Consultancy’s teaching methods and conducting research into new methods of teaching.
• Manage tutoring quality control.

Tutor Coordination

• Liaise with consultants regarding tutors’ availability and assign suitable tutors according to each student’s age, personality, and education level.
• Timetable classes for tutors and students and manage class set-up on the company’s online tutoring platform.
• Ensure students and tutors have all relevant materials required for lessons.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of in-house tutoring programmes at JD Consultancy’s London office.

Essential skills for the job:

• Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Exceptional communication skills
• Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
• Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
• Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or working in an education company (2 – 4 years)
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Native-level proficiency in both English and Mandarin is mandatory

Preferable:

• A good knowledge of the UK independent school sector
• A working understanding of the national curriculum of UK schools
• Strong academic background
