Interview date: Tuesday 01 April 2025 Guidance for International Applicants About the role The Department of Psychology is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Research Assistant to support a Rapid Response Project funded by the Policy Research Unit at Kings College London. The project, led by Dr Tom Freeman, aims to explore critical research questions to inform drug strategies in the UK. Specifically, the project aims to investigate the treatments needs of people who use cannabis in the UK and compare cannabis use and treatment burden internationally. The research assistant will be involved in: Conducting a quantitative survey exploring treatment seeking behaviours of a UK sample with an elevated risk of cannabis use disorder Exploring data from international drug monitoring agencies to identify trends in cannabis use prevalence, treatment and unmet needs. The post holder will join Bath’s thriving Addictions and Mental Health group and they will be encouraged and supported in pursuing career development opportunities.  As a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you will be encouraged to take up a minimum of 10 days professional development pro rata per year. This position is offered on a full time fixed-term basis.  We expect the position to last seven months, however this may be shorter depending on the agreed start date.
