Job Description:
Title: Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician (5+ Years Experience)Location: Philadelphia (Onsite – All 5 working days)Visa: US Citizen, Green Card, H1B, TN (Preferred)We are currently seeking a highly skilled Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician to provide field installation and troubleshooting support for residential video doorbell camera deployments. Key Skills Expected:
  • Installation and maintenance of CCTV / IP-based video surveillance systems
  • Camera configuration, NVR/DVR setup and troubleshooting
  • Network connectivity and cable management
  • Field support and onsite technical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of access control systems (added advantage)

Job Description:Responsibilities include performing site readiness checks, installing and configuring devices (including wired installations when required), verifying connectivity, supporting basic end-user onboarding, and documenting each completed installation in accordance with established checklists and project procedures. Work Activities:
  • Conduct pre-install site checks (mounting location, power/wiring readiness as applicable, Wi-Fi signal/basic connectivity).
  • Install, configure, and test video doorbell cameras; complete install checklist and resident sign-off.
  • Perform wired installs for ADA residents when scheduled; otherwise complete standard installation per program guidance.
  • Troubleshoot device/app connectivity issues and escalate to vendor support when required.
  • Track device inventory (serial numbers), manage spares, and coordinate swaps/returns for defective units.
  • Support event-day deployment and final block party operations as requested.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years experience installing and servicing low-voltage devices (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms, networking) or equivalent.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics and perform safe installations using standard tools.
  • Basic Wi-Fi/network troubleshooting and strong customer service communication.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to work outdoors and perform field work safely.

Highly Desired / Preferred:
  • Experience with video surveillance systems and related software/tools.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (switches, VLANs, Power over Ethernet) and structured cabling is a plus.
