About the RoleWe are seeking a Principal Grid Engineer with proven experience in:
  • Transmission network planning, operations, and system studies
  • Power transmission and distribution networks
  • Generator connection processes within the NEM and WEM, including performance standards, R1/R2 testing and commissioning
  • Modelling tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory
  • Renewable and conventional generation technologies, including large-scale batteries
  • Navigating both technical and commercial considerations of project development
  • Supporting the full power project lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • Mentoring and training Engineers and Senior Engineers within team

You will be a strong communicator and mentor, able to provide guidance to less experienced engineers while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
  • Deep understanding of Power System Studies and Analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Demonstrated project management experience and successful delivery outcomes
