About the RoleWe are seeking a
Principal Grid Engineer with proven experience in:
- Transmission network planning, operations, and system studies
- Power transmission and distribution networks
- Generator connection processes within the NEM and WEM, including performance standards, R1/R2 testing and commissioning
- Modelling tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- Renewable and conventional generation technologies, including large-scale batteries
- Navigating both technical and commercial considerations of project development
- Supporting the full power project lifecycle from concept to delivery
- Mentoring and training Engineers and Senior Engineers within team
You will be a strong communicator and mentor, able to provide guidance to less experienced engineers while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
- Deep understanding of Power System Studies and Analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Demonstrated project management experience and successful delivery outcomes
