The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support our industrial IT and operational technology (OT) infrastructure, ensuring system integrity, data flow, and technical support are delivered safely and efficiently.Working closely with the Superintendent and operational teams, you will play a key role in bridge-building between our physical plant operations and digital systems, driving technical optimisations and ensuring high availability of our business and production networks Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise system performance and data integrity through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration of integrated site systems.
  • Analyse operational and business data to identify system bottlenecks, data gaps, and integration opportunities; develop technical KPIs and automated reporting dashboards.
  • Apply structured problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to resolve software, hardware, and network issues, minimising downtime and improving system cost-efficiency.
  • Support digital asset reliability, including system patches, hardware lifecycle management, shutdowns/turnarounds, and the commissioning of new digital infrastructure.
  • Conduct technical risk assessments (Cybersecurity, JSA), maintain system documentation, and ensure compliance with site protocols, ISO standards, and Change Management (MoC) requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Contribute to business case development for digital transformation projects, software upgrades, and continuous improvement of site IT/OT environments.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to end-users and operators to improve digital literacy and system adoption across the site.

About You Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Industry Certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or AWS/Azure) are highly regarded.

Experience & Capability
  • Experience or exposure to industrial IT/OT environments (mining, processing, or heavy industry), with a developing understanding of how digital systems interact with physical plant production.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise systems and integration (ERP systems, SQL databases, API management), with an interest in learning industrial automation interfaces (OPC, MQTT).
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets to identify trends and system performance issues, supported by proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Excel.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with experience in structured troubleshooting and an interest in continuous improvement methodologies like Agile or Lean.
  • Experience supporting system deployments, upgrades, or maintenance windows, with a strong focus on data security and safe work practices in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with technical standards, including cybersecurity frameworks, SOPs, risk assessments (e.g., JSA, Change Management), and quality management systems.
