STEAM Educator Program places qualified international teachers to Alabama’s accredited K-12 schools. Key Responsibilities - Teach core and STEAM subjects aligned with U.S. curriculum standards.
- Engage diverse learners by adapting lessons and providing individualized or small-group instruction.
- Create a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued.
- Evaluate student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with U.S. teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Celebrate multicultural learning and demonstrate respectful, nondiscriminatory practices every day.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher from a College of Education.
- Valid teaching certificate from home country (ALIEEP assists with Alabama certification conversion).
- Minimum of 2 years full-time teaching experience.
- Willingness to meet U.S. state and federal requirements (e.g., testing, background checks).
Potential Job Placement - Mathematics: Statistics, Geometry, Trigonometry, or Algebra 2
- Science: Chemistry, Physics, or Biology
- Foreign Language: Spanish, Korean, or Chinese
