Job description: Childcare Assistant Provider - Private Household**Wage:** $17.50 per hour
(Overtime paid at 1.5x after 44 hours/week in accordance with Saskatchewan labour standards)**Term of Employment:**
- Full-time, permanent
- Minimum 30–40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday schedule
- 6 to 8-hour shifts (with possible overtime)
- Two days off per week (schedule negotiable)**Start Date: 2025-09-01About the RoleWe are a caring and family-oriented household looking for a full-time Childcare Support Provider and Homeschool Assistant. You will help care for our two children, ages 9 and 12, who are homeschooled by their grandmother.Your primary responsibility will be to assist the children during homeschool hours. While their grandmother leads their daily learning, she is still recovering from a leg injury and occasionally requires help—particularly on days when mobility is more difficult. Your role will involve ensuring the children remain focused, organized, and actively engaged in their learning, while also supporting daily routines in a respectful and nurturing environment.Job Duties
  • Supervise and care for two children in a safe, nurturing environment when parents are unavailable
  • Assist children with homeschool learning during scheduled hours, including sessions at their grandparents’ home

Organize interactive and educational activities such as crafts, games, and occasional outings
  • Ensure the children’s learning environment remains tidy and organized
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks related to childcare (e.g., laundry, meal prep if needed)
  • Maintain reliability, flexibility, and good communication with the family

Credentials & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent to Canadian secondary school standards
  • English language proficiency (IELTS, CELPIP, or equivalent)
  • Childcare experience is an asset but not required (we will train you with our family’s routine)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Food Safety Certification (asset)
  • Criminal record check required
