Key Responsibilities:As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company, ensuring that we are compliant with all relevant regulations, and providing strategic insights to guide the organization’s growth in the horticulture industry. Your duties will include:
- Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Determine, implement, monitor, review, and evaluate budgetary and accounting strategies, policies, and plans in consultation with other managers across operations, HR, and business development.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Provide detailed financial information and interpret its implications for business performance and funding needs. Help the leadership team make informed decisions by analysing the impact of financial trends and operational performance.
- Accounting Systems Development
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of effective accounting systems and processes to streamline financial operations.
- Financial Reporting
- Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports that summarize the organization’s financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and income forecasts.
- Capital Finance & Operational Projects
- Assess capital finance proposals and evaluate the financial status of ongoing or future operational projects, ensuring all are financially viable and aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Investment Strategies
- Advise on investment strategies, sources of funds, and the optimal distribution of earnings to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Long-Term Financial Forecasting
- Deliver long-range profit forecasts, oversee budgeting processes, and ensure comprehensive and accurate financial reporting that aligns with the company’s growth plans.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation and industry standards, including regulations specific to the labour hire and horticulture sectors. Manage audits and financial reviews.
