Job Description:

Then read on to the position of Teamlead Requirements Engineering. The Team Lead Requirements Engineering builds, leads and develops a team of engineers to drive the development and maintenance of product and process requirements during product development according to the Design Control process. You will also ensure good quality documentation and full traceability of requirements. Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Develop functional and regulatory product and process requirements for ophthalmic surgery instruments and equipment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g. development, QA/RA) to ensure robust design and process requirements so that they can be verified
  • Ensures traceability of product and process requirements throughout the product life cycle
  • Technical file content for equipment and instruments under development
  • Managing product risk, uFMEA and dFMEA
  • Ensuring that the team works according to relevant international (medical) standards and regulations and according to DORC's QMS and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement of practices and processesManage key stakeholders and customers for requirements engineering activities
  • Manage contacts and relationships with relevant internal and external partners and suppliers
  • Leading, managing and developing the requirements engineering team members
  • Report on planning and execution of team activities to project and department management

Skills, knowledge and experience: Master Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of Polarion
  • 8 Years of experience working with multidisciplinary teams in product development and new product introduction of medical devices. - At least 3 years of experience in leading a team of direct reports
  • Knowledge of applicable medical device regulations
  • Very good technical understanding of medical device design, requirements development and product and process verification
  • Relevant qualifications in medical device standards such as: electrical safety (IEC60601-1), software (IEC62304), biocompatibility and sterilisation, riskmanagement (ISO 14971) and usability engineering (IEC 62366)
  • Proven projectmanagement skills (within medical device development)
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English. German and Dutch is a plus
  • Pragmatic and analytical
  • Strong organizer
  • Experience with stakeholder management
  • Creates a culture of performance, constructive challenge and ‘bias to action’
