About the Role
As Lecturer in Film, Media and Broadcast Production this is an exciting opportunity to join the department of English and Creative Arts within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable educator to teach students both practical and theoretical aspects of filmed and broadcast media. You will deliver engaging instruction in pre- and post-production techniques for filmed media, linking these practical skills to the critical study and analysis of film theory. In addition, you will teach studio production processes, craft, and workflow, helping students understand how these hands-on elements connect with the theoretical and analytical study of broadcast media. The role also includes developing a strong research profile that complements and enhances the teaching and learning experience within the department and contribute meaningfully to the Department’s Knowledge Exchange activity.
You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in Film, Media and Broadcast Production and very good teaching experience on undergraduate programmes is essential. A background in Film, Media and Broadcast Production with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
