Full Time Music Therapist

WHO WE ARE…Music Therapy Services of Simcoe County has specialized in supporting the mental health, developmental, rehabilitation and recreational needs of Ontarians since 2001. MTSSC team members enjoy a diverse caseload working with clients of all ages and with a variety of needs and diagnoses. Our company is approved by the Government of Canada to sponsor international applicants. WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?

• Run group and individual sessions for music therapy and recreational programs
• Complete all documentation as per MTSSC guidelines including session plans, assessments, treatment plans, session notes and progress reports
• Learn songs and interventions to use with clients on your caseload
• Build proficiency with voice, guitar and piano
• Seek out supervision and/or coaching as required for clinical questions

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

• MTA or in the process of obtaining certification
• CAMT member in good standing
• COVID-19 vaccination and annual flu shot (as per long-term care requirements)
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to relocate to the Simcoe County region
