Job Description:As a Chef at our cafe you will be responsible for creating and delivering a variety of delicious dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and consistency. Your main duties will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals in line with the menu
- Ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Managing kitchen operations during service, including coordinating with kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assisting with menu development and introducing new dishes
- Managing food stock and inventory control
- Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and meets service demands
Skills & Experience:- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment
- Certificate IV (Required)
- At least 2 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen best practices
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
