Paraburdoo Medical Centre is currently seeking expressions of interest from Medical Practitioners wanting to join and support our medical team in the Pilbara, Western Australia.As a Doctor in this town, you will be able to work in the GP clinic with the support of the District Hospital and our roster of GP ED VMO’s located at Tom Price. The General practice is open from Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5:30pm with Saturday AM clinic work available to take at Tom Price on a rotating roster. About the locationParaburdoo has a population of around 1.300 people and is located approximately 1,600 kilometres from Perth. Paraburdoo is a smaller town with a population of 1600. There is accommodation available at the local hotel for tourists, and P&O Catering facilities. IGA operates a modern supermarket from within the shopping centre in Paraburdoo where there is a pharmacy, newsagency, bakery and cafe. PEHA also supplies medical services to the local First Nations community.Tom Price township facilities include a supermarket, bank, medical centre, hospital, fuel outlet, library, primary schools, secondary school, Pilbara Institute (TAFE), café, restaurants, golf club, motels and a caravan park. The town is home to three large ovals, tennis, netball, basketball and squash courts as well as a lawn bowls green, cricket nets, an 18-hole golf course and an Olympic-size swimming pool. There are several parks and gardens within the town, which are well maintained and provide an abundance of shade, suitable for a family barbeque. Tom Price is the gateway to the stunning Karijini National Park and closeby is Ningaloo, home to the world's largest fringing reef and can be reached by just a short swim in many places. Nowhere else on the planet can you access a large coral reef so easily. - Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a medical practitioner in Australia with AHPRA (Visa Sponsorship available for a doctor on a GP training pathway)
