Duties- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the restaurant or hospitality venue, ensuring smooth operations throughout shifts.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
- Manage team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Assist in training new staff members in food safety procedures, service protocols, and operational standards.
- Monitor customer service levels, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production schedules and menu offerings to optimise efficiency.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
- Maintain stock levels of supplies and coordinate with suppliers as necessary.
Skills- Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Sound understanding of restaurant operations, including serving, food production, and kitchen management.
- Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.
