Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Duties
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the restaurant or hospitality venue, ensuring smooth operations throughout shifts.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
  • Manage team members, including serving staff, kitchen personnel, and baristas, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assist in training new staff members in food safety procedures, service protocols, and operational standards.
  • Monitor customer service levels, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production schedules and menu offerings to optimise efficiency.
  • Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, aiming to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Maintain stock levels of supplies and coordinate with suppliers as necessary.

Skills
  • Proven experience in supervising or managing within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Sound understanding of restaurant operations, including serving, food production, and kitchen management.
  • Experience in hospitality environments such as hotels or bars is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.
