Job Description:
About Us QuantWare is the world's leading manufacturer of superconducting quantum hardware. As a high growth start-up with a global customer base, our mission is to accelerate the advent of the quantum computer. We push the boundaries of what's possible in our field. We work on making the world’s largest quantum processors, as fast as possible.

At QuantWare, we’re not just producing quantum hardware for the hyperscalers of tomorrow; we’re working on technology that will change the world. To make that ambition a reality, we need exceptional people who drive real impact. That’s where you come in. As a Technical Product Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end development of new QPU products, from setting the technical requirements to delivering the finalised product to production and sales. You’ll lead the development roadmap, break down the work into achievable milestones, and make technical decisions that shape our next-generation processors. You’ll work closely with world-class engineers across design, fabrication, and measurement, and be the central coordination point that keeps everyone moving toward a common goal. What You’ll Be Doing
  • Own the whole development process of new QPU products, from technical requirements to production handoff, ensuring timely and to spec delivery

  • Break up development into actionable work packages, prioritise and assign tasks to make sure the team moves forward efficiently

  • Make technical decisions that balance tradeoffs, consulting experts as needed

  • Coordinate across internal teams (including commercial, operations, and leadership) and external partners to keep projects on track

  • Ensure a smooth transition of products from development into production and commercial scale-up

Your Profile
You don’t need to tick every box, but if most of these apply, we’d love to hear from you:
  • PhD or equivalent in superconducting quantum devices or cQED, with a focus on superconducting qubits

  • Hands-on experience with the full development cycle: chip design, fabrication, and characterisation

  • 2+ years leading complex technical projects, either in academia (e.g. postdoc or project lead) or industry (e.g. startup or R&D environment)

  • Strong sense of ownership with a structured, pragmatic, outcome-focused and hands-on approach

What We Offer
At QuantWare, you’ll be part of a high-performing team of world-class experts in an ambitious, fast-moving environment. From day one, you’ll have the trust, tools, and support to do your best work. Here’s what you can expect:
  • Competitive salary – A competitive monthly salary, plus an 8% annual holiday bonus paid out each May

  • Pension that’s built to last
    – A future-proof pension plan that includes partner and dependent coverage. QuantWare covers 63% of the premium

  • Flexibility built on trust
    – We focus on outcomes. Work flexibly, in a hybrid setup, with an open vacation policy that lets you manage your time

  • Relocation support
    – If you’re moving to the Netherlands, we’ll make the transition seamless. We cover visa support, temporary housing in most cases, and help securing the 30% tax benefit for eligible candidates

  • Personal growth
    – We invest in your L&D, with a budget available to each team member, dependent on their individual ambitions, development needs, and performance

  • A focus on well-being
    – We support your physical and mental energy through wellness initiatives that help you recharge and stay sharp

  • A connected team
    – We make space to celebrate wins together, with team events, offsites, and spontaneous moments that bring us closer

  • Financial clarity
    – Through our partnership with Equip, you’ll get tools and expert guidance to help you understand and optimise your total compensation
