You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote independence, inclusion, and dignity, providing both practical and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to service users in line with individual care plans
- Assist in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration
- Promote independence, participation, and positive behaviour management
- Liaise with families, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary reviews
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and safeguarding procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Social Care (minimum Level 7) or a closely related field (Applied Social Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Disability Studies, etc.)
- Previous experience in a social care, residential, or community setting (1+ year preferred)
- Fluent English (written & spoken)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
- EU citizenship or valid work permit for Ireland (strict requirement)
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: 36,000 - 45,000 (depending on experience and location)
- Additional premiums for night/weekend shifts
