The Department of Economics and International Business (EIB) is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in International Business to contribute to our growing research, teaching, and business engagement activities. The department specialises in teaching and research across the broad field of international business and is home to the Centre for Business Prosperity, which undertakes internationally recognised research on contemporary issues affecting firms, industries, and economies. We have a thriving culture of scholarship, research excellence, and business engagement, with a strong reputation for producing rigorous, relevant, and entrepreneurial research. We actively support participation in international research projects, conference activities, innovative teaching initiatives, doctoral supervision, and engagement with external stakeholders. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in international business and related areas. We are particularly interested in individuals who can contribute to and strengthen our existing research profile while supporting high-quality teaching across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programmes. Candidates should possess:
- A good first degree.
- A doctorate, or be near completion of a doctorate, in International Business or a closely related discipline.
- Evidence of an established or emerging research trajectory with the potential to publish in leading international journals.
- A commitment to excellence in teaching and student experience.
- An interest in engaging with businesses, policymakers, and other external stakeholders.
We are looking for colleagues who are collaborative, ambitious, and enthusiastic about contributing to the continued success of the department and Aston Business School. The appointment will be made at Lecturer (Grade 8), depending on qualifications and experience. The post is available from the 2026–27 academic year or as soon as possible thereafter.
