OverviewWe are seeking a talented and creative Photographer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialise in high-end maternity and new-born photography. They will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for visual storytelling, and proficiency in various editing and editing software. This role offers an exciting opportunity to capture compelling images across diverse projects, professional photo sessions, post-production editing, and ensuring new-born safety protocols.
Duties - Conducting detailed pre-session consultations to understand client vision, manage expectations, and meticulously plan bespoke newborn, maternity, and baby photography setups.
- Executing all photography sessions, ensuring utmost safety, comfort, and compliance with specialized health and hygiene protocols, particularly when handling vulnerable newborns.
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining high-end professional camera bodies, lenses, and specialized studio lighting equipment (strobes, modifiers, and natural light sources).
- Applying advanced image editing, skin tone correction, and retouching techniques (specific to newborn and maternity portraits) to deliver a consistent, luxury brand aesthetic.
- Advanced digital asset management, including culling, cataloging, and secure archival of all raw and edited files according to company standards.
- Managing the post-session client journey, including gallery preparation, conducting in-person or virtual sales appointments, and overseeing final product ordering and quality control.
- Collaborating with Directors on inventory management of props, backdrops, and studio supplies to ensure all items are clean, compliant, and ready for sessions.
Experience - Proven commercial experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification) specifically in Maternity, Newborn, and Baby photography.
- Must have a diverse and high-quality portfolio demonstrating mastery of both natural light and complex studio flash setups for portraiture.
- Experience in high-end client consultations, sales, and product fulfilment is essential, showing the ability to manage the full client lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in professional studio lighting, complex posing techniques and baby safety standards.
- High proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom).
