About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team in a precision manufacturing environment producing specialist steel and metal components. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting ISO compliance, and ensuring products meet strict engineering and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards- Assist with ISO accreditation processes, including documentation and audit coordination- Ensure ongoing compliance with customer and regulatory requirements- Coordinate incoming, in-process, and final product inspections- Manage calibration schedules for micrometers, calipers, and gauges- Maintain accurate calibration records- Support Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives- Assist with vendor assurance and supplier performance monitoring- Manage non-conforming products and support corrective actions- Maintain controlled documentation and quality reporting
Career ProgressionAs capability grows, this role will transition into a QA Manager position, including leadership responsibilities, training, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
About You- Experience in manufacturing, ideally precision engineering- Familiarity with CNC machines, mills, and lathes- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems- Experience with measuring equipment and calibration- Exposure to supplier quality or vendor assurance- Understanding of Lean and 5S- Experience with non-conformance management
Desirable- Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality- Experience supporting ISO certification or audits
