WMS Business Analyst

Our Contract Logistics Services continue to expand in these verticals and Morrison has invested in a brand new 12,000 m2 facility in Eindhoven to support our further growth.
In this position you are supporting the further implementation and development of our WMS solutions for our warehouse location in Eindhoven. You need to communicate at different levels, with programmers, local management team, employees, customers and HQ. You are and like to stay informed about all the ins and outs of the system and know how to proactively translate this into our warehouse operations. You are the Super User of the WMS and related systems.
You also assist Morrison Express Headquarters WMS team with basic system and equipment maintenance, configuration and project rollout. This includes WMS client end installation and configuration, scanner, label and printer setup and maintenance.
In this position you will work from our facility at Eindhoven and will report to the Branch Manager.
Key tasks and responsibilities are:
Daily Activities and Support

• Responsible for dealing with any on-site WMS related issues to make sure the operation is running smoothly.
• Take the lead to tackle day to day system (operational and EDI) issues by basic troubleshooting, root cause analysis and executing corrective actions.
• Track issues in the IT ticket systems (internal and external).
• Escalate unresolved tickets timely to the management team.
• New customer on-boarding support.
• Provide technical know-how to the sales team in discussions with new potential customers.
• Take the lead in the scoping of customer requirements and clearly describe these in the SOW (Statement Of Work).
• You validate the SOW with internal and external stakeholders prior to executing this in the systems. In this process you closely work with the sales, operational and IT teams to ensure that system configuration is optimal for customer and warehouse operations.
• You configure the WMS and related systems in line with the SOW. In case standard configuration is not sufficient, then you share the requirements with the (external) software developers to obtain a quotation for internal approval process.
• Existing customer process improvements and requests: Identify opportunities for continuous customer requirements and opportunities for system and process improvements.
• Warehouse process optimization: Recommend and support system changes including new concepts, system improvements changes with the IT teams and software supplier(s).
• Support the implementation of new systems and updates including testing (UAT) and report outcome to management.
• User support of various systems used in the day to day operations of the warehouse, including, but not limited to, WMS, MOP, EDI systems, ERP interfaces.
• Work with stock-control to maintain correct Location Management in WMS configuration.
• Configure documents and label design according to warehouse and customer requirements.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge from the software providers and maximize the in-house know-how and optimal use of the systems.

Projects and others

• Continuous improvement by participating in projects aimed at improving the organization and our warehouse processes.
• Study and share regular Information Technology and software project methodologies updates and/or development and processes.
• Educating and training of Key Users on WMS and related systems. This includes new software updates and special client configurations
• Identify, document and enforce User Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and best practices.
